Thomas Gerald Coleman, Sr., 79, of Fairhope, passed away October 10, 2016 at his residence. He was born November 27, 1936 to Elbert and Doris Coleman. An avid golfer, he had been employed as a lab technician at Boise and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He also served as president of the Jackson Rotary Club and was a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award. He was also a real estate broker and appraiser.



He was preceded in death by his parents.



He is survived by his wife, Carole Garrett Coleman...

(Tom) Recore, Jonathan Ladner; great-grandchildren, Coleman Recore, Charlotte Recore, Summer Ladner; siblings, Donald F. (Imogene) Coleman of Mobile, Bess C. (Charlie) Bolen of Niceville, Florida, Larry S. (Linda) Coleman of Wilmer and special friend, Terry Hicks.



Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Dr. Anne Pearson officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens with Lathan Funeral Home directing.



Pallbearers will be Maury Dumas, Clay Dumas, Joel Coleman, Josh Garrett, Jonathan Ladner and Randy Elmore.



Honorary pallbearers will be Bully Garrett, Mike Garrett, Martin Coffman, Edward Mills, Denise Lores and Bob Carty.
